Live Club Interactions

Hello everyone! I ran this idea via email yesterday. With the wonders of the web these days, how many of you would be interested in doing some live club interactions? I think this could really have some potential. I realize that time may be an issue due to time differences but it can be managed. We would need to have webcams (very cheap these days) and I suggest using scype which is a free program and allows for this type of interaction.

Let me know what all of you think and lets run with it! One way to make our club experience even better! :-)

I would like to try this. I think it would increase involvement and no doubt we will all benefit from seeing what other clubs are doing for projects and activities. Send some details out on what the best equipment is and software and how acessible it is. I think it has to be easy for teachers and kids to use. Thanks alot for posting this.

Hello Doug!

I will look into some webcams. In the meantime, take a look at www.Skype.com. This is a free program and is very easy to use. As long as both sides have it, the calls are free. There is a teacher in my district that does this with schools from New Zealand and Australia. ;-)

I will stay in touch!

I'll have to look into webcams here, but I know my kids would be into meeting other groups. Count us in!

Count Laramie, WY in!

I will have to look into web-cams. Any suggestions would be helpful. Again, it will have to be easy to use. We are in the Mountain Time zone, soon to be Mountain Daylight....arrgh!
